§ 01 · faq
Plain answersQuestions, answered plainly.
The things people ask before they sign up. If yours isn't here, just ask us.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new account starts with a 14-day free trial of the full service. You add a card when you sign up, and the first $29 charge happens only when the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Do I need a domain?
No. Your site can run on a CNL subdomain for free. Most owners register their own domain because it belongs to them: customers learn an address that is yours, and you take it with you if you ever leave. We register it for about $12 a year, or you can bring one you already own.
Can I keep my current domain?
Yes. If you already have a domain, we'll connect it to your CNL site, and you keep ownership of it.
Do you take a cut of my sales?
No. It's a flat $29 a month. You keep your sales, minus Stripe's standard processing, and there's no markup from us.
Can I take payments in person?
Yes, online and in person. You can order an optional Stripe WisePOS E from Stripe, right inside your CNL dashboard, for tap, dip, or swipe with tipping at the chair.
What happens to my clients if I leave?
They're yours. Ask us any time and we'll get you your full client list, history and notes included.
How fast can I be live?
Minutes. Your branded site is built for you as soon as you sign up, and it goes live ready to take bookings. A domain you register or bring is pointed at it once that is set up.
Whose account do in-person payments land in?
Yours. Card payments go straight into your own Stripe account, the same as your online bookings, and we never take a cut. You buy the reader from Stripe at their price, and we don't sell it or mark it up. When it arrives, pair it in CNL under Terminal.
How hard is it to switch from another booking app?
You sign up, we register your domain or connect one you already own, and your branded site is built for you in minutes. A real person is still there to set up your services, hours and prices with you, and you never touch DNS or hosting.
How much does Booksy cost?
Booksy is $29.99 a month plus tax after a 14 day trial, with each additional team member at $20 a month. Boost, its marketplace promotion, takes a one-time 30% fee on a first-time Boost client's visit, with a $10 minimum and a $100 maximum. CNL is $29 flat, with no marketplace and no fee on any client, ever.
Is Booksy free?
No. There's a 14 day trial; after that Booksy is $29.99 a month plus tax. Boost, the part that brings you new clients from the marketplace, is free to switch on and then charges a one-time 30% fee on that client's first visit, between the $10 minimum and the $100 maximum.
Does Booksy charge before the appointment?
That's set by the business you book with, not by Booksy itself: whether a card is charged up front is the individual business's own deposit policy. On CNL that policy is yours to set, service by service, and every deposit goes to you, with no cut taken.
How much does GlossGenius cost?
GlossGenius is $28, $56 or $168 a month by tier, paid month to month; the advertised $24, $48 and $148 require paying a year up front. There's no free plan, processing is a flat 2.6%, and instant payouts cost an additional 1.8%. CNL has one plan at $29, and the price you read is the price you pay.
How much does Mindbody cost?
The only price Mindbody publishes is "Starting at $79 USD/month per location"; every tier routes to a sales call, so the real number depends on the conversation. Ours doesn't: $29 a month, flat, published right here.
Ready when you are.
Try everything free for 14 days: your whole book in one place, $29/mo flat after, live in minutes.
